Here are some of the stories we will be following today (Sunday):
- Unidentified men shot and killed religious cleric Maulana Adil Khan of Jamia Farooqia and his driver in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony Saturday night. His funeral will be held at the Jamia Farooqia near the Hub River road at 9am today.
- According to an initial investigation report, five bullets were shot at Maulana Adil, and the attackers had been following him. The police are conducting further investigations into the case.
- Members, leaders and MNAs of the PPP will meet at the residence of Sharjeel Memon today. They will discuss the opposition’s strategy against the government.
- A total of 300 people have been detained in the rape and murder of a two-and-a-half year old girl in Charsadda. The police have sent over 100 DNA samples to laboratories for testing.
- Prime Minister Imran Khan has promised that the government will use all of its resources to bring down food prices in the country from Monday onward.
